Hadlow Rural Community School is an equal opportunities employer and positively encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief, marital status, or pregnancy and maternity.
Hadlow Rural Community School opened in September 2013 to create a unique learning experience for students aged 11-16 that not only prepares you for further study, but also for the world of work – particularly emerging, highly skilled careers in the land-based sector and its associated industries.
You’ll discover exciting new ways of interpreting subjects such as Maths and English delivered as part of a traditional curriculum that leads to exams, but one that fully integrates academic and vocational study with a special focus on science.
We do this by using our location at the heart of Hadlow College’s 1,000-acre farmed estate as an extended classroom and working closely with our partners in the rural industries.
This allows us to offer choices beyond the scope of a traditional secondary school – including the more unusual outdoor sports and after-school clubs - and gives you an unrivalled opportunity to explore and develop your skills and interests in a safe rural environment.
Working in partnership with Hadlow College, an outstanding land-based college, staffed 365 days a year, Hadlow Rural Community School benefits from the strength of a much larger and established organisation with superb facilities and extensive education and employment networks. It also allows you to work alongside students who have chosen to extend their studies beyond 16 and benefit from their experience and inspiration.
