Advert

Salmestone Primary School is excited to be able to offer a fixed term position for a teacher to join us in September 2020. We are looking for a highly motivated, skilled primary teacher who is passionate about making a difference to the lives of children in the Margate community. The academic year 2020-21 will be an exciting year for the community at Salmestone as the structure of the school changes, allowing vertical groupings. This increases the opportunity for creativity within teaching and learning. Salmestone Primary School would welcome either an experienced teacher or a more recently qualified professional. Staffing for 2020-21 is currently being arranged, allowing us to be flexible with the year groups the successful candidate is most skilled in. We would encourage both KS1 and 2 teachers to consider this post. School visits can be offered, by appointment. Social distancing will be observed throughout. We are confident you will want to join our team once you have visited. During their last visit Ofsted stated  ‘The Headteacher has established a culture of high expectations of both pupils and teachers. As a result, significant improvements have been secured in the quality of education provided by the school’.  At the last Ofsted inspection the school was graded, Good. Since the last inspection, the school has continued to develop and offers a high standard of education to all children.

Salmestone Primary School is proud to be part of The Kemnal Academy Trust. TKAT is one of the largest Multi-Academy Trusts in the South of England with 45 Primary and Secondary Academies in the TKAT Family. Working within a TKAT school offers all professionals an immediate community and support network within the other local schools. Working together has supported improved outcomes.

At Salmestone, we are passionate about, ‘Shaping The Future of Young Minds’. We want our children to be equipped with the personal and academic skills to be successful individuals. All our staff have high aspirations for our children. We engage all of our children in their learning, developing a love of learning and so creating a community of confident independent learners who are well prepared for their futures. We have an open door policy for current and prospective parents; we encourage strong links between home and school for our children and their families, we are looking forward to welcoming a full cohort of new parents in September 2020. We believe in school and home working together effectively for the benefit of all of our children. At the heart of this is the provision of a safe and happy learning environment for all our children. A sense of community and belonging, with pride in self and school is key to this.
