SEN Teaching Assistant-Maternity Cover

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Small Haven School, Ramsgate. Small Haven School is a small independent specialist school, currently registered to take up to 36 pupils from age 6-18 years, with a range of special educational needs.

Are you passionate about, and have experience in, working with pupils with a variety special educational needs? We wish to appoint an excellent, enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team during a period of maternity cover. This posiiton offers a wonderful opportunity to gain insight and experience into the therapeutic nature of our provision.

Successful candidates will:
• Be committed to ensuring the safeguarding and wellbeing of the pupils
• Demonstrate a passion for developing pupil's with special educational needs
• Have the expertise necessary to fulfil the role (NVQ Level 3 TA)
• Be calm, confident, flexible and positive with a good sense of humour
• Be an excellent communicator and team player

Salary: £16,650 per annum

Small Haven School is registered for up to 36 students aged between 6 to 19 years across KS1-KS5, all of whom have Education, Health and Care plans. The school has a highly dedicated staff team of 24 working in our small campus. This provides a safe environment for pupils who previously may have experienced insecurity and allows them the opportunity to access their education and thrive.
