St Ethelbert’s Catholic Primary School, built in 1928, is a one form entry primary and nursery school set in the heart of Ramsgate, Kent. We are a successful and happy school combining excellence and care. The school had its last Ofsted Inspection in June 2019 and is Good. It also has Good with Outstanding features from its Religious Inspection in July 2015.

The children are beautifully behaved, and fully engaged in their learning. The parents are very supportive and there are very strong parish links, with our church being on the school site. The school is, quite simply, a delightful place in which to work.

The Governors and Headteacher are seeking to appoint an inspiring and highly motivated practising Catholic to play an integral part in the development of our school. The successful candidate will work closely with the Headteacher and Governors to share the leadership of our popular, happy and welcoming school. This post is for a leader of learning and teaching, responsibility for curriculum, Religious Education development and behaviour.

• Be an outstanding classroom practitioner and exceptional role model; passionate in developing high standards and expectations for all pupils.

• Be committed to working in partnership with staff, parents and carers, Governors, the family of Parishes and wider community.
• Work as part of a team, using excellent interpersonal and communication skills, to build professional relationship and develop and support colleagues.
• Take a full and active role in all aspects of school life and passionately promote a clear child-centred vision.
• Be able to lead and make impact in key strategic areas.
