Advert

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative, enthusiastic and highly motivated part-time teacher for 2 or 3 days a week.  This is to cover maternity leave from the middle of June 2020.

We are seeking to recruit an effective and inspirational class teacher who is committed to high standards of teaching and learning as well as being passionate about providing creative and memorable learning opportunities for all children.

We can offer you an innovative and forward-thinking school with happy and fun-loving staff where all teachers, TAs and MDS have high expectations; incredibly supportive parents and governors; fantastic, well-behaved and friendly children wanting to learn and a commitment to your professional development, including excelling mentoring from outstanding practitioners.

In March 2014 Ofsted judged our school to be outstanding in all areas. "At St Peter's pupils love coming to school, rise to adults' high expectations and develop a love of learning" (Ofsted, March 2014). Please read our Ofsted report to find out more.

Experienced teachers and NQTs are welcome to apply.  Please tell us about your skills and interests.

Visits are warmly welcomed and encouraged.  To arrange visits and for further information, please contact Mrs Page on 01892 525727 or admin@st-peters.kent.sch.uk.

St Peter's CEP School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  The post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring Service and check against the ISA barred list for children.

Information about the school

St Peter's is a happy, successful and over subscribed school with 152 children on roll. We are situated in the heart of Tunbridge Wells. In March 2014 we were judged as outstanding by Ofsted in all categories.

The School is currently on 3 sites with the playground at the end of the road and the hall a short walk away. We have many awards including Healthy Schools, Active Mark and Eco-Schools. In September 2020, the school will relocate and expand to a new school building in Hawkenbury.

As we are a small, church school we have a unique relationship between children, parents, staff and governors which has created an enabling ethos throughout the our school.
