We are looking to appoint a highly motivated Temporary Teaching Assistant to join our team as soon as possible, to provide 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil in our mixed Year 1/2 class.

This is a part-time appointment (term-time only) 

TA 1:1 27.5 hours per week Monday to Friday paid on KR3 pro rata  £16,728-£17,411 the post also includes Midday Supervisory role  for 1/2 hour per day to cover 1:1 pupil needs paid on KR2 pro rata £16,631-£16,727

Previous experience as a teaching assistant would be an advantage and in particular within KS1 and with pupils with additional needs.

The successful candidates will be literate and numerate to GCSE or equivalent and have relevant experience of teaching phonic skills and reading.

Ideally, in applying for the post you will have:

• Essential previous experience of working as a teaching assistant; including  taking phonics and reading groups.
• High standards of work-ethic, self-motivated and an ability to work with high levels of independence.
• High standards of personal presentation, punctuality, professional standards and team work.
• The ability to form positive relationships with children and adults.
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
