Salary: KR3 £14,986 (pro rata to £17,365 for a full time appointment)

Hours: 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year

The Abbey School is looking to appoint a full time Finance Assistant to join our busy Finance Department. The post holder will provide support to the Finance Manager and other school staff.

Applicants should have at least a Grade 4 (C) in English and Mathematics at GCSE level, and some knowledge of Excel spreadsheets is desirable.  Candidates should have a good level of concentration, be able to work accurately and quickly, be effective working under pressure and be able to work as part of a team.

This is a busy role so we would like to hear from candidates who are keen to be part of our collaborative and supportive team, which is forward-thinking and focused on providing a positive and efficient impact on the school.

The Abbey School is a mixed secondary school with a thriving population of over 1200 students. We believe that school should be a place where young people can discover and develop their own talents. The Abbey school recently celebrated some robust results, with 45% of students achieving Maths and English at 4+ (an improvement of 34% from 2017), and record A level results with 52% of grades at A-C. The Abbey school is rated GOOD for quality of education by Ofsted.

The school is situated in the historic market town of Faversham. We aim to provide the highest quality value-added education and excellent pastoral care for all students.
