Working Hours: 30hrs per week, term time only (38 weeks per year), plus 15 twilight sessions from 3.15 – 5.15 on Tuesdays
Pro rata salary £11,919 – 11,954 (for 30 hours term time)
SEN allowance £1,156 (pro rata to 30 hours)
(Salary Full time £17,365 - £17,188 plus SEN allowance full time £1,253)
Due to an increase in roll, we are seeking to appoint a teaching assistant to the Upper School (Years 9 -11). The post offers an opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced TA to join our dedicated and highly effective staff team. The post is temporary for at least one year, however, there is a possibility it will become permanent as the school continues to increase its roll.
The school prides itself on providing our pupils with much more than academic support within lessons and we are looking for people willing to commit to providing the very best all round education for these exceptional young people.
The successful candidate will work supporting pupil with a range of behaviour and learning needs and will have a high level of emotional intelligence and resilience, a flexible approach to their work and an ability to embrace change.
Candidates need to possess a minimum of GCSE grade C/4 or above or Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).

Elms School is a special day school for children with social, emotional and learning difficulties. Many of our pupils have ASD, ADHD or other difficulties such as attachment difficulties. The school has a mixed roll of 150 students between the ages of 5 and 16.
