KS2 Teaching Assistant at Woodchurch CE Primary School

We are seeking to appoint an energetic and enthusiastic teaching assistant to join our amazing team asap!

  • You have a commitment to excellence in your own practice and that of our learners
  • You can support all children to succeed and help give our children the best possible outcomes
  • You have the enthusiasm needed to enhance the children’s learning experiences
  • You possess a minimum of GCSE grade C/4 or above or Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Mathematics (or equivalent). 
  • You have previous experience working with children in a nursery/school environment.

 Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting individuals/groups in accessing learning and achieving the  lesson intention all areas of the curriculum.
  • Leading 1:1 and small group intervention programmes.
  • Feeding back to the SENCo and class teacher sometimes keeping records of progress and achievement. 
  • Ensuring children have adequate resources and provision support learning. 
  • Working with children to support any social, emotional, or medical needs.

This is a temporary role until July, however could be extended if additional funding continues.

Woodchurch Church of England Primary School has 165 children on roll and is situated in the heart of the Kent countryside in the village of Woodchurch, 6 miles from Ashford and 4 miles from Tenterden.
