Offham Primary School are excited to be offering a new part time position from April 2020! 

Would you like to help shape the computing minds of the future? Could you be our new ICT network technician and Manager? 

The day to day role of ICT network technician will involve supporting the use of ICT within the school environment through maintenance of ICT software, hardware and related equipment, including the school server, and providing support to staff and pupils to ensure administration and learning outcomes are maximised. 

In addition to this we are looking for an inspiring individual who can help us set and put into practice a new foward thinking strategic vision for our pupils and staff. Offham Primary school are going through a period of transition and change, looking to update our computing resources and curriculum significantly and would ideally like to appoint a new ICT manager who can help us to shape computing at Offham for the next 3-5 years. 

We would like our ICT technician / manager to be fully immersed in school life and really get to know our pupils and their computing strengths and areas for development. Therefore part of this role will also involve suported teaching of computing lessons across the school using our 'Purple Mash' scheme of work.

As this is a part time role it would ideally suit someone with their own ICT support business or other computing role. 

Hours: Monday - Wednesday 1pm-5.30pm (13.5hours)

rough breakdown of hours / expectation:

1pm-1.30pm supporting extra curricular computing e.g. Computing / coding club

1.30-3.30pm Computing lessons (Years 1-6) 

3.30-5.30pm network, software and hardware maintenance / strategic meetings 

Pay: KR4 pro rata, £440.20 per month (Term time only)

A good standard of general education such as GCSEs / A levels or an NVQ together with good numeracy and literature skills is desirable. Experience in an IT environment and working with relevant software and Networks is essential. Some previous experience of working with children would be desirable, along with the ability to relate well to children and adults, understanding their needs and being able to respond accordingly.

The postholder will be someone who will uphold the school's policy regarding the safeguarding of pupils and promoting the welfare of children. The postholder will require an enhanced CRB disclosure and proof of eligibility to work in the UK even if you are a UK citizen.
