We have a vacancy for a Catering Assistant to join our friendly lunchtime team. 

The position is for 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday 10.30am to 2.30pm , term time only plus up to 5 additional staff training days as required.

Your main role will be working in the school cafe serving at break and lunchtimes to the school community.  You will ensure full compliance with all food hygiene regulations and our policies so that all food is safely produced and stored plus our residents choices are met. Other responsibilities will include washing up, cleaning food preparation areas and equipment in an efficient manner and ensuring there is high standard of cleanliness within the cafe area at all times.

In line with our commitment to safeguarding the wellbeing of our students ALL shortlisted candidates will be subject to an Enhanced Data and Barring Service check (formerly CRB).

The Royal Harbour Academy is proud to be part of the Coastal Academies Trust (https://www.coastalacademiestrust.co.uk/) a local multi-academy trust of three other secondary schools and a large primary school. The Royal Harbour Academy has two large sites located on the Kent coast, with a sunny climate and affordable housing, yet only 50 minutes by train from central London. We are a mixed, non-selective 11-18 foundation school of more than 900 students.

The school is arranged over the split site with Years 7 and 8 on our Newlands Lane premises and Year 9 along with Key Stages 4 and 5 at our Marlowe Way premises.

We are an International Baccalaureate Organisation World School and run International Baccalaureate programmes for our 6th Form and Key Stage 3 students. Our Lower Site broadly follows a primary school structure with students having fewer teachers and a strong focus on literacy and numeracy progression.

The school is making tremendous progress and it is an exciting time to join our team. Our most recent Ofsted inspection gave glowing praise about the school, judging behaviour, personal development and the 6th Form as good.
