Furley Park Primary Academy would like to appoint an experienced Teaching and Learning Assistant for 33 hours per week to join our dedicated and highly effective team. The post will include some one to one support and whole class/group support. The succesful candidate will be flexible to work in other year groups in the future and experience of supporting pupils with behavioral and emotional needs would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will support whole class learning, small groups and will work on a 1-1 basis with children who have a specific learning needs. You will inspire learning and support excellent teaching; and have a passion for bringing a rich and varied curriculum to life.
The successful candidate will be expected to deliver individualised programmes that bring learning to life for pupils at the stage they are working at. Some recording of progress will also be required and you will be expected to engage with parents on a regular basis. The successful candidate will be prepared to work across the school. Experience of working with children in foundation stage or with pupils with additional needs would be an advantage.
The successful applicant must have an NVQ level 2 for Teaching Assistants / Learning Support.
Furley Park Primary Academy operates a safe recruitment policy and any appointment will be subject to a successful DBS. Shortlisted candidates will be required to undertake a basic skills test before attending interview.
Furley Park Primary Academy is a three form entry school on the outskirts of Ashford serving the Park Farm area. We currently we have 630 pupils on role.
The school converted to an Academy in November 2013 establishing ACE Learning, a multi-academy trust, with Hamstreet Primary School. As such we are able to offer our staff and pupils innovative opportunities to develop excellent teaching and learning.
The school had a successful Ofsted in September 2016 achieving a rating of good. Our pupils are fantastic, friendly and polite and enjoy challenging learning and inspirational teaching.
The school currently holds the Arts Mark Gold Award, School Games Gold and ICT mark, all of which are significant strengths.
