We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, inspirational teacher of RE who is looking to join our extremely successful RE team. You will work alongside the Head of Department and other experienced RE staff members to deliver our broad and varied curriculum, whilst also playing a major role in supporting the Catholic Life of our school.

In order to provide a breadth of courses that meets the needs of the wide ability ranges that attend St John’s, we offer GCSE Edexcel Religious Studies Specification A Catholic Christianity and study of Judaism. Additionally, at A Level students study OCR Religious Studies; this course has three components – Philosophy, Ethics and Developments in Christian Theology. Furthermore, all KS5 students study Core RE. Ideally the successful candidate would already have experience of teaching at least some of these courses and would be more than able to play their part in delivering this wide curriculum offer.

It is envisaged that the successful applicant would consistently deliver engaging lessons, work well as part of a team, in addition to being extremely ambitious and highly motivated to support and lead our pupils.
