Information about the school

Sandwich Infant School is a two form entry school housed in a Victorian building. We enjoy close links with the community, the church, local nurseries and Sandwich Junior School. We are a member of the STAR (Sandwich Town and Rural) Alliance. We have high expectations of everyone in our school - both children and adults - and firmly believe in our vision statement, that everyone is valued and learning is fun. We foster an ethos whereby all children develop a willingness to have a go and resilience when they feel challenged. We also encourage them to support each other in their learning. We expect everyone at Sandwich Infant School to treat each other with respect and teach this through our rich and varied curriculum. We want all the children in our care to flourish and achieve to the best of their abilities. The school was inspected by Ofsted in February 2017.

We are committed to making sure all members of our school community are safe from harm. All employees and volunteers are required to complete a criminal record check in the form of a DBS check. Staff will be informed of the school's Child Protection policy at their induction. Staff are expected to follow a code of conduct and should act in a professional manner at all times.
