An opportunity to work in one of Kent's leading Prep Schools

Hilden Grange School is an independent preparatory school which educates pupils from 3-13 years.  It was founded in 1929 and is now part of the Alpha Plus Group, the Gold Standard in educational provision.  The school has access to more than twenty acres of attractive grounds, on the northern fringe of Tonbridge, Kent.

We are currently looking to recruit a full-time graduate Head of English who has a passion for teaching (Years 3 to 8) to the highest standards and to take over the leadership of an established and highly successful department in a school with an outstanding academic record. Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience of working in the sector and have knowledge of scholarship level syllabuses for public schools and also grammar school entry. 

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and will be on the Alpha Plus scale (positioned above comparable scales in the maintained sector).

Start: September 2020.
