Advert

Bromstone is looking for a Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a year 5 child with challenging behaviour.

The role will involve supporting the child in class to access the curriculum, as well as working with him as he follows his personalised timetable.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience of supporting children who have barriers to their learning. They should be patient, kind, flexible, have the ability to set firm boundries when necessary, and have a good sense of humour.

In return we can offer relevant advice and a friendly and supportive team of staff.

The job is fixed term, and will be specifically for the time that the child attends the school. Ideally, we are looking for someone who can start immediately, but can be flexible for the right candidate.

Information about the school

Bromstone is a Co-operative Foundation Primary School which believes strongly in the Co-operative ethos. We share our Executive Headteacher with Garlinge, St Mildred’s and Parkside Schools.

Bromstone has a well-developed creative curriculum, which provides our children with exciting opportunities for learning, both in the classroom and in the wider environment. We place high value on the Arts and outdoor learning; we have an established Forest School in our grounds. Our staff are friendly, enthusiastic and very committed to providing the best education we can for our pupils. We are passionate about Bromstone and its ethos; Dream, Believe, Achieve.

Bromstone is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. An enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) with barred list check is required for all successful applicants. We will carry out an online search for all shortlisted candidates.
