We are recruiting for a Science teacher to join our highly successful team and help drive the expansion of the subject across the school. We are looking for a committed practitioner to join our growing team, to promote the values of learning the sciences and inspire a love of all three disciplines in Key Stage 3, before guiding students through the separate and combined elements of the GCSE specifications. The department has a strong focus on curriculum development and the successful candidate will form part of a team that is continually evolving in terms of resources, classroom practice and pedagogy

The Malling School is an extremely positive, happy and caring place for young people to learn. We are a small stand-alone foundation school and are very proud of our wonderful students and talented staff. We are fully committed to continually developing our teaching at The Malling School. We have no formal lesson observations and a strong open culture of improving our teaching together through regular low stakes developmental learning walks.We have a very strong behaviour for learning policy.

Information about the school

A mixed 11-19 co-educational High School of 1000 pupils serving the historic market town of West Malling and surrounding villages. The school is set in pleasant rural surroundings and has its own lake and extensive grounds. It was completely re-built in September 2007 and therefore has outstanding facilities.

West Malling is close to the county town of Maidstone and has excellent rail links to London and Ashford International (for the Continent).
