Selling Church of England Primary School is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our staff team. The successful applicant will work under the guidance of the SENCO and class teachers and join a committed, hardworking and friendly staff team.

Applicants should have a good standard of English and Maths as well as a good general standard of education, with an NVQ level 2 or equivalent in supporting children's learning. You will also need to be flexible, supportive and a positive team player with a sense of humour and possess excellent communication skills. Previous classroom assistant experience is desirable. Some experience in working with pupils who have behavioural needs, speech and language needs or other specific learning difficulties is advantageous. This will be a fixed term contract until the end of academic year on Kent Range 3 (£17,498 - £17,411 pro rata) for 18.67 hours per week, term time only (subject to successful completion of the probationary period). There is a possibility of the contract being extended and for applicants holding the HLTA qualification (or higher) being used occasionally to cover classes at a higher pay rate.

It benefits from good access from Faversham, Canterbury and Ashford.
