We are looking for an enthusiastic, cheerful and self-motivated Secretary/Administrator to cover the maternity leave of our current School Secretary. 

St Joseph's is a happy and successful Primary School and this is a key position within the school supporting the whole school community.

No two days are the same and everyday is a challenge.  If you enjoy creating order out of chaos a school is the place to be.  A love of children is essential!

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and be a positive front person for our school, demonstrating effective organisational and secretarial skills.  A knowledge of SIMS is essential.   They will also be efficient in the use of ICT including Word, Publisher, Power Point and Excel.

They will be have excellent organisational and analytical skills and be solution focussed. 

The post is for 37 hours a week, over 5 days. Term time plus one week in the school holidays.

Information about the school

St. Joseph’s is a happy and successful one form entry Catholic primary school with strong Home/School/Parish links in Northfleet near Gravesend, Kent. Since December 2014 we have been an academy within the Kent Catholic Schools Partnership (KCSP). Our three most recent Ofsteds were Outstanding. The school is located in well-maintained buildings conveniently situated in a residential area near good transport links and shopping facilities, specially the A2, Ebbsfleet International Railway Station and Bluewater Shopping Centre. Our School is committed to the safeguarding of all children.

Any successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and all other statutory requirements. The school will carry out a the necessary checks to determine if the successful candidate is barred from working with children as part of the DBS process.

The school is heavily oversubscribed and caters for pupils from five to eleven years of age. There are 240 children on roll.
The school has a dedicated staff of a Headteacher and 8 class teachers, which includes 2 Assistant Headteachers and a SENCo.
