Set in the beautiful cathedral city of Canterbury, we are seeking to recruit a Site Manger to ensure the effective management and overall safety of staff, building security, maintenance, cleaning and health and safety. You will take pride in ensuring a first-rate service is delivered to staff and pupils alike.

In this role you will:
• Line manage a team of site staff and lead on projects to ensure that the school environment is fit for purpose and continues to improve.

• Develop the facilities provision, including lettings whilst organising the site being open outside of school hours.

• In conjunction with the Schools Business Manager, you will prepare the annual premises budget in order to plan, monitor and prioritise spending across the year.

• Lead on any building development projects to bring the facilities up to a high standard. This involves the preparation of project specifications and financial appraisals for small scale improvement works.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Level 3 Diploma (or equivalent) with proficient technical and practical skills.

• Experience with a wide range of machinery/equipment e.g. kitchen, gardening and general maintenance equipment.

• Understand and be able to apply Health and Safety procedures relevant to the job, including manual handling, safe use of machinery and/or equipment, COSHH, First Aid and Hygiene Practice and lone working procedures and responsibilities.

• Have a broad awareness of working environments, able to recognise and to deal with emergency situations.
