A full-time, term time only Teaching Support Assistant on a fixed term contract is required for an immediate start. We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and caring Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and hard-working team.  You will be required to lead small groups or work 1:1 with pupils, deliver specific interventions and provide excellent teaching support in whole class lessons.  The role may involve working with pupils within every age group of our school.  The successful candidate will be able to show initiative, have excellent communication skills, be able to work flexibly and be confident in providing equal opportunity for all pupils.  

The hours will be 8.45 - 3.15pm, Monday to Friday and the salary will be on Kent Range 3 pro rata, depending on qualifications.  As this is linked to High Needs Funding, a temporary contract is offered which is likley to end in July 2019.

Shoreham Village School is situated in the heart of the Darenth Valley in North West Kent. The school has played an important part within the life of Shoreham Village and the local community since 1841.

The school, graded Good by Ofsted in April 2019,offers a broad range of academic, sporting, musical and social opportunities to its pupils who are taught in mixed age classes by a team of dedicated, professional teaching and support staff.

We are very much a family with a caring ethos, high standards of behaviour and achievement.

The school is located in the village of Shoreham which, by car is only ten minutes from Sevenoaks, ten minutes from the M25 and fifteen minutes from the M20. There is a station in the village, only a ten minute walk from school, and trains to Sevenoaks and London are frequent.
