Sedley’s Church of England Primary School is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, caring and committed 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to join our valued team.

We are ideally looking for someone who has experience of working within a primary school setting and who will assist with medical needs.

This is a temporary position linked with pupil funding until end of July 2019 for 1:1 pupil support/TA, the position may be extended if funding is continually secured. The hours are 27.5 teaching assistant hours (term-time only).

Previous experience of 1:1 support or TA work preferred, and SEND or medical experience would be an advantage.

We are a caring, nurturing and ambitious community that work together to achieve the best possible outcomes for all. Every child is valued and encouraged to meet their full potential of being an independent and confident learner.

We aim to provide a curriculum that is creative in its approach and underpin this with first hand experiences to ensure that we create lifelong learners. These experiences along with our core Christian values allow the pupils at Sedley’s to develop not only academically but also morally, physically and spiritually. Our pupils are taught from a Christian perspective, which includes respect and tolerance of the beliefs of others. It is for this reason that a child does not have to be from a Christian background to benefit from all that Sedley’s offers.

We truly believe that our pupils grow and develop into confident and articulate young people that are ready to move on to the next step of their educational journey and life beyond. If you are looking for a school that fosters all these important values, along with an opportunity to nurture your career aspirations in a supportive environment, then look no further.

We can offer:

  • Children that are well-behaved, polite and excited about their learning.
  • A friendly and supportive community.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • A fantastic opportunity to be a part of our ongoing journey!

I am extremely proud to be the Headteacher of such an historic school and be part of such a welcoming local community. If you are interested in joining the team, I would welcome the opportunity to show you around our school community. Please contact our school office to make an appointment.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check adn reference checks.
