Here at Higham we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and hard working teaching assistant to work 1:1 with 2 pupils with learning difficulties.  The position would be with a KS1 pupil for 16 hours per week and a KS2 pupil for 3 hours per week.  It  would be fixed term until 31 July 2020.  It is linked to the needs of individual pupils and therefore could be extended depending on pupils needs and funding allocation.

The hours would be term-time 9am - 2pm, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and 9am - 12pm on Wednesdays.  This will be a total of 19 hours per week at Kent Range 3, contracted for 43 weeks per year including holiday.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher for each pupil and outside the classroom supporting the individual pupil to enable them to access their learning.  You will also work within an established team, supporting and sharing strategies with colleagues.

The successful candidate will support the school SENCO in meeting the needs for these pupils.

This position requires an immediate start.
