Shears Green Junior School is looking to appoint an experienced teaching assistant (KR3) for (27hrs 05 mins) to support key stage 2 pupil(s).

We are looking for a well organised, reliable, flexible team member who can inspire and motivate our pupils.   This is a temporary post which is subject to the receipt of high needs funding for a named pupil. The position will be on a fixed term contract for, initially until 31st August 2020.   This role will involve working in class, supporting an individual and working with small groups of children.

The successful applicant will also be expected to undertake the role of Midday Supervisor for one hour per day. (5 hours per week payable at KR2). A twenty minutes break will be given in the morning and a further ten minutes break at lunch time.

Applicants must enjoy working with children, be emotionally intelligent, caring, and flexible and have excellent positive behaviour management strategies. We can offer you a happy, friendly working environment and a supportive team. Visits to the school are welcome. 

Applicants should have a good standard of English and Maths as well as a good general standard of education with an NVQ level 2 or equivalent.
