EARLY YEARS PRACTITIONER

Salary:           NJC D2 Scale (FTE £18,426 to £21,166 pro rata)

Contract:        Fixed term until 31st August 2020

                     34.25 hours a week

                     Term time only plus Staff Development Days

Start Date:     As soon as possible

An exciting fixed term opportunity has arisen at St. James' Church of England Primary Academy in our Early Years Setting.

We are seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and highly motivated Early Years Practitioner to join our flourishing team, working in an Integrated Early Years Setting with children aged two to five years.

As a key person, you will also be responsible for recording children observations and progress and building positive relationships with children and parents. The candidate should have an NVQ3 in Childcare, or equivalent, experience of working with children aged two to five years and a commitment to improving the outcomes for all young children in the Foundation Stage.

The successful candidate will:

  • be knowledgeable and have the ability to teach very young children in our Early Years setting
  • be able to plan and deliver exciting learning experiences to spark children's curiosity and based on their interests and developmental needs
  • be passionate about giving our children the best start in their educational journey

A visit is highly recommended.
