An exciting opportunity has arisen for a TA and Cover position in our school!!

  • Full time (30hrs) permanent contract
  • PPA cover at an enhanced rate of pay
  • A skill set to deliver creative PPA cover is essential
  • Lunchtime playleader role
  • Experience in KS 1 & 2 desireable

 

We require a TA to start with us before the end of Term 3.

The role would comprise of in-class support, out of class intervention and a play leader role at lunchtime.

PPA cover will form part of the role, with Music and Creative Arts being a particular focus for the school.

Duties may also require specific support for individual children who have high needs funding.

In addition, the role will include:

  • Being a member of a team led by a Lead TA
  • Working within a Key Stage under the direction of the Class Teachers, the SENCo and the Inclusion Leader 
  • Leading in-class support
  • Leading individual or small group work to ensure children to make good progress in their learning
  • Undertaking a daily Play Leader role - actively leading play, encouraging good interactions between children and ensuring children have a fun break from their learning!
  • Supervising a class for short periods to cover a Class Teacher
  • Working a 30 hour week

Job requirements:

•High standards and expectations

•Good behaviour management skills

•A knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment

•Experience in planning, monitoring, assessment of provision would be an advantage

•A happy (and smiley) person with a good sense of humour!

A TA qualification or equivalent and previous experience is preferable but not essential.
