Information about the school

Working at Marden Primary Academy: Marden joined Leigh Academies Trust in September 2020. The academy serves the beautiful village community of Marden in Kent and has 40 pupils in each year group. Significant proposed housing development in the local area means that there is genuine potential for future expansion.

Marden’s children are its biggest asset and they need leaders with grit, determination and passion to help provide them with a positive future. We are looking for a very special person as only the best will do for the children of Marden.

Our successful candidate will be talented and a highly motivated leader with drive and commitment to excellence as well as strong interpersonal skills. You will be joining a supportive, committed and passionate team who work hard to ensure that all of our students achieve their potential.

Ethos: At Marden Primary Academy, we believe every child deserves the right to a nurturing and caring community, whose shared vision is ambitious and uncompromising. With an internationally-minded approach, we collectively challenge ourselves and one another, showing both support and resilience to continuously improve and achieve, in learning and in life.

Values: - Ready - Respect - Safe

We were awarded a 'Good' rating by Ofsted in 219 - 'Marden Primary is a calm, friendly school with a positive atmosphere. Pupils are happy and enjoy their lessons. They work hard and want to learn new things. Pupils are proud of the special experiences that the school offers. These include the chance to care for rabbits and guinea pigs. Pupils also benefit from the quiet and beautiful ‘secret garden’ in the school’s grounds.'

"We are a rural school in the heart of the community of Marden serving the village and the surrounding area. Marden is a school that welcomes everyone, with a family atmosphere and a desire to help every child do their very best. We do this through inspirational teaching with a range of exciting learning opportunities; a nurturing culture where all children feel they belong; and through working in close partnership with parents and carers." - Principal Niall Dosad
