We are looking for someone to be instrumental in setting up an on-site inclusive provision for pupils with SEMH needs & pave the way for alternative provision in a primary setting.

We are a two form entry primary academy who have a vision for all of God’s children to flourish. Our school is good & we stand to be even better at our next inspection. We are blessed with beautiful grounds which include a well-established Forest School, access to the nearby beach, extensive grounds & the most dedicated staff team you will find. Our academy grows from strength to strength with a curriculum that provides meaningful and purposeful learning for all. Our commitment & service to our children has led us with a commitment to develop an on-site special educational provision for pupils who have barriers to their daily lives that prevent them fully accessing a mainstream classroom.

You will be:

An innovator in the field of special educational needs, a self-starter & someone with a vision for excellence and enjoyment.

A proven track record in working with challenging children & qualifications to match.

Be able to inspire & motivate a team of specialist teaching assistants to deliver high quality provision on a daily basis.

Understand the complex area of SEMH & talk passionately about the provision & resources that are needed to meet the needs this area creates.

Model the values of compassion, service, forgiveness & friendship to all the community.

Identify ways to incorporate a Forest School team.

  • Work closely with the Inclusion team & provide specialist support for pupils in the mainstream school that may be in need of additional support.
  • Provide a stimulating curriculum which builds self-esteem & opportunity for children.
  • Be able to demonstrate an understanding of individual learning plans for children & show competence in setting appropriate targets & managing these through the curriculum.
  • Be familiar with the SEN code of practise & be willing to develop your expertise further.

If you are smiling & have a surge of adrenalin about the huge potential this role offers you & the children, then come and see the school, meet the team & find out more. Check us out on Facebook or visit our website. Don’t delay, apply for this today!
