An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pastoral Support Manager to join the pastoral team at The Whitstable School.

The post is for 37 hours per week for term-time plus 5 staff development days plus an additional 10 hours per year for Parents’ Evenings, Open Evenings etc.

Subscribing to our school values, you will play a valuable part in helping pupils succeed through a holistic approach that recognises the importance of personal welfare to learning. We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience of working with children
  • Has good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Is able to relate well to children and adults, understanding their needs and being able to respond accordingly
  • Is reliable

The successful applicant will report to the Senior Assistant Headteacher in charge of Behaviour and Attendance and will work alongside other Pastoral Support Managers, teaching and support staff.
