Chilmington Green Primary School are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and hardworking 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a child with a high level of special needs

30hrs/43 paid weeks (term time + 5 weeks holiday). 
KR3 Pro-rata'd salary approx £11649 gross

We are looking for someone who can bring motivation, energy and excellent communication skills to the role.  You would need to support the child with their educational, physical, emotional and social development, and play an active role alongside the teacher and Nurture Team in shaping the learning of the pupil. 

The ideal candidate will be committed to working in an inclusive framework, working closely with the class teacher and the Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator.

Information about the school

Location: Ashford, Kent UK Chilmington Green Primary School is a growing primary school on the new Chilmington Green development in Ashford. Opening in 2018 in a temporary building before moving into a state-of-the-art building in 2021. Pupil numbers are growing rapidly currently standing at 230 pupils. We would encourage any applicant to visit the school for a tour. It is operating as a one form entry school for children of primary age (4–11-year-olds), with the exception of Reception and year 1, which allows two forms of entry, allowing for 60 Year R pupils to join the school each year. The newly opened school nursery now inhabits a dedicated space for up to 26 nursery aged children (2, 3 and 4-year-olds) per session and also includes a Specialist Resource Provision for up to 14 pupils who have an Education Health Care Plan for Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
