The Trust currently comprises of 24 academies, 19 primary and 5 secondary.  The Trust are seeking an experienced Clerk to providing a clerking role to some of our Governing Bodies throughout Kent.

Our ideal candidate will be a skilled administrator who is used to organising meetings and booking venues, preparing agendas and meeting materials prior to meetings and following up on actions (matters arising).  The candidate will providce support and advice to governors, take and circulate minutes following meetings. 

The successful candidate will work closely with the Clerk to the Trust Board and Company Secretary to ensure that all aspects of governance are effective and that they provide support in an efficient and competent manner through their Clerking role to the Governing Body.  Main duties will include circulating documents, arranging meetings, attending meetings and taking minutes.

The role is home-based but will include occasional travel to the Barham Court Office in Maidstone and Academies across Kent.  We are looking for someone who can commit to fulfilling the role working in a flexible working arrangement as well as attending the meetings at the Academies as required in the evenings.

Governing Body meetings are held up to 6 times per annum for each Academy and there will be a requirement to attend Committee Meetings also at each Academy.  

Clerks will be expected to travel between academies to attend meetings and therefore access to a car is essential.  Mileage can be claimed for separately.
