This is an exciting new position, being created for 2020. The Governing Body are looking to appoint a specialist science teacher for 4 afternoons a week or 2 days, to teach science only across KS2. We are looking to develop a specialist science 'lab', and challenge our able pupils in this area. 

The successful candidate will have a strong subject knowledge and experience teaching KS2. This could be a secondary or primary trained teacher. This will be a permanenet position.

St Marys School is a friendly and popular C of E Primary School in the St Mary’s ward of Swanley. We have strong links with both the local church, St Mary the Virgin, and the wider community. We have a one form entry across the school, as well as a successful LEA nursery attached, which takes children from the age of 2. Our staff are highly motivated and hard working, setting high standards for the 270 pupils in their care. Our results at the end of Key Stage 2 are often above the national average, and this is reflective of how hard working and professional our staff are.
