The role would be from 9.30am to 2.30pm each day so may suit candidates looking for more flexible working around childcare commitments. The role involves using your strengths and initiative to provide support to meet children’s needs and raise attainment. This contract would be temporary to the end of the academic year in the first instance, to support the learning and health needs of a pupil in Year 4.

The ideal candidate will be driven by a passion for extending potential in our learners, recognising individual qualities and strengths and aspiring to attain excellence in learning support. Please state your experience, skills and strengths clearly in your application. Candidates should have:

  • 5 GCSE grades C/4 or above, or equivalent passes, including English and Maths; or Cache Diploma in Childcare, Learning and Development Level 4, or minimum qualification of NVQ L3.
  • Experience of working with children in a primary school; including those with additional needs. Experience of working with children with health needs would be beneficial but not essential as full training will be given.
  • The ability to be proactive, show initiative and work well within a team with colleagues
  • The ability to communicate confidently with staff and parents to ensure a child’s health needs are met
  • A positive, professional and flexible outlook, with a belief that the child is at the centre of all we do.

The hours are 9.30am to 2.30pm each day, 22.5 hours weekly, 39 weeks a year, term time only. This contract would be temporary for a year in the first instance.

Visits to the school are welcome; please contact the school office for an appointment to see our school in action. For further details, please see documents associated with this advert. Please apply using the online application form, stating your skills, strengths, qualities and relevant experience which you would bring to this role.
