We are looking to appoint a high performing, experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team to start as soon as possible (subject to satisfactory recruitment checks). 

The ideal candidate should have experience of working with Key Stage 2 primary children.  Some knowledge of supporting SEN children is desirable.  The post will involve supporting children in their learning, both inside and outside of the classroom.  You will be joining a hard working and supportive team of colleagues dedicated to improving the outcomes for the children in our school.  Suitable candidates will meet the following requirements:

  • A good standard of general education with a minimum of Level 2  literacy and numeracy (GCSE grade C or above or equivalent) or willingness to complete.
  • Have good organisational and planning skills.
  • Work well as part of a team.
  • Willingness to provide outstanding support for learners.
  • Be flexible and self-motivated with a dedication to pupil achievement and inclusion.

Salary:   Kent Range 3 = £17,365 - £17,411 Full Time Equivalent

As post is 'Term Time' 38 weeks for 31.25hrs p/wk , actual pro rate annual salary = £12,134.88 - £12,167.02

Riverview Junior School is a very popular four form entry Key Stage 2 school on a large site we share with the Infant School.

Our extensive site offers lots of opportunities for outdoor learning, including an outdoor library, two football pitches, MUGA, outdoor intervention area, animal farm and forest school, and we offer large well-resourced classrooms.

We are delighted to announce that our recent Ofsted inspection, carried out in February 2022, graded the school’s overall effectiveness as ‘Good’ with ‘Behaviour Attitudes’, ‘Personal Development and Leadership Management’ all being graded as Outstanding;.
