The Abbey School invites applications for the post of Behaviour Support Assistant to work as part of the school’s Behaviour and Welfare Team. Minimum requirements are GCSE English and Maths C Grade or equivalent.

As part of this role you will deal with challenging students, and would need to be strict on discipline, but demonstrate a firm but fair approach.  You would need support and motivate the students and help them develop the skills required for adult life. We are seeking candidates who will be a positive role model and have patience, understanding as well as being a good team player.

The Abbey School is a highly successful, forward thinking school with over 200 staff. Ofsted in February 2017 graded the school Good in all areas. They noted several strengths including “strong leadership, the quality of teaching, improving exam results, a vibrant sixth form, good behaviour, and an excellent level of care and safety”.

The Abbey school recently celebrated some robust results, with 45% of students achieving Maths and English at 4+ (an improvement of 34% from 2017), and record A level results with 52% of grades at A-C. The Abbey school is rated GOOD for quality of education by Ofsted.
