We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic sports coach to join our Academy team. The successful candidate will work across our three Whinless Down Academy schools: Priory Fields, St. Martin’s and Vale View, working alongside our Academy PE Lead to develop outstanding practice and nurture the next generation to sporting excellence. We are seeking an individual with a love of sport who is able to inspire others.
It is our vision that every child should have the opportunity to experience a wide range of different sporting activities and that all children should be encouraged to develop active, healthy lifestyles.
You will need a recognised coaching qualification in a sport of your choice, and the commitment to developing teams/squads in this particular area. This will be achieved through PE lessons and out-of-school club opportunities. For this reason, a degree of flexibility in working hours is required.
We offer a supportive network of staff who are committed to best outcomes for our children. Each of the three schools has excellent indoor and outdoor facilities to support the delivery of the PE curriculum. For the right candidate, we would offer further opportunity to train to coach in different sporting areas.
Priory Fields School is proud to be part of the Whinless Down Academy Trust; a MAT committed to providing excellent local schools for local children. We work closely with our two partner schools, St Martin's and Vale View to give children the very best learning experience. It is our vision to set children on the path to meaningful and fulfilling lives, with the confidence and skills to step into the unknown to achieve their dreams.
Priory Fields is a two form entry school, housed in a brand new school building set in extensive grounds in the heart of Dover. We have a friendly and supportive team who work in close collaboration across the Academy to secure best outcomes for children through an exciting and engaging curriculum, tailored to meet the needs of our children. We actively work to develop all our staff and offer a comprehensive programme of professional development for staff at all levels and in all roles.
Priory Fields School benefits from the skills of a range of support staff including a FLO, a parent support advisor, sports coaches and a specialist music teacher.
The safeguarding of our children is of paramount importance, and we are rigorous in our recruitment procedures. This post is subject to a satisfactory DBS check, and references will be pursued.
