Would you like to teach in an outstanding school where you can concentrate on being a fantastic teacher?

We are looking for a wonderful, creative, part-time teacher to join our dedicated, welcoming and supportive team from either the start of term three (January 2019) or the start of term 4 (February 2019). This is a fixed-term post, until the end of the academic, involving teaching in Year 5 and possibly other classes within the school. There is some flexibility in duration and timing of the post, but our current intention is that this is for 1 to 1.5 days per week. However, please come and talk to us about the role if you are interested so that we can discuss any flexibility with you.

Our children are fun and energetic, with a real passion for learning. They say that they would like their teacher to be someone who:

  • connects and shares with us
  • loves stories and reading
  • challenges us to think
  • makes things fair
  • is adventurous, calm, interesting and inspiring

At Ryarsh Primary School we can offer you:

  • a school culture which allows you to focus on enjoying teaching
  • a welcoming school, genuinely at the heart of its community
  • a newly improved school environment
  • a creative, supportive and friendly staff team
  • children who are motivated, articulate and great fun
  • excellent opportunities for professional development, within our school and local collaboration
  • flexibility to build on your strengths and talents

We are proud to be a highly successful school, rated Outstanding by Ofsted. Our visitors tell us that our school has a great feel and ethos, living up to our school motto, "forward thinking for a brighter future". Please visit us to experience this for yourself. In your application, we would love to hear about the skills and experience that you would bring to our team.

Ryarsh Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Appointment to the position will be subject to an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure check.
