We are looking for an Assistant Site Manager to join  Ashdown Primary School. We wish to appoint a reliable and self-motivated individual who has proven skills, knowledge and understanding in the following areas:

An ability to effectively undertake site services cleaning, minor repair and maintenance tasks including responsibility for pool maintenance. Good initiative and organisational skills. Knowledge of COSHH and health and safety procedures and protocols is desirable but training will be given. Good interpersonal skills.  This post is line managed by the Site Manager.

15 hours per week/52 Weeks per year equivalent to £7323 per annum. 

The hours will be divided up between maintenance - including Health & Safety checks, cleaning and pool maintenance

Hours: 11am - 2pm every day, working across both Infant and Junior Sites.

In addition there are a number of evening lettings that require the site manager to lock up.These additional duties are paid on a claims only basis at .75 hrs per lock up, at time and a half.

Information about the school

Ashdown Primary School was opened in September 2015 after Whitehill Infants and Herne Juniors amalgamated. We are one school over two sites (one infant, one junior). We have an Executive Head who leads the whole school and a Head of School at each site.

We have 421 children on roll, with low numbers of SEND and Pupil Premium children.

Our parents are very supportive, with an active parents’ forum and a hugely successful PTA (Friends of Ashdown Primary School).
