Role: Teacher of Art / Design & Technology

Contract: Part time, three days per week on a permanent basis

New Line Learning Academy is an exciting school and currently has a great opportunity to work within a creative and innovative Art and Design Faculty, creating outstanding learning opportunities. We are a successful team working in a modern, well equipped environment and we are seeking a teacher to deliver and teach innovative and creative lessons that bridge both art and design technology at KS3 and KS4. You will join the department on a part time basis for three days a week.

The successful candidate will be proactive and actively look for opportunities to engage the natural inquisitiveness of our learners. Candidates should be able to enthuse pupils and contribute positively to help develop the curriculum provision offered by the team.

As well as our state of the art facilities, we have an exciting programme of trips, visits, visitors and extra-curricular activities.  New Line Learning value positive working relationships and seek individuals who will support this ethos. To be successful, we will expect you to have:

  • The ability to develop our KS3 graphics, textiles and resistant materials curriculum and link this to the KS4 Art and Design courses
  • Organisation skills that allow you to get the most from every student
  • A commitment to delivering outstanding lessons
  • Enthusiasm for passing on your knowledge to young people
  • Communication skills and confidence to deliver teaching and learning
  • The desire to overachieve in an environment that rewards excellence
  • A willingness to take on responsibility and lead on aspects of the curriculum
