We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team.

Applicants must have a Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education and level A-C in GCSE English or equivalent. In addition you should have experience of working effectively with a staff team in full day care

Your role will include:

  • Overseeing the planning and implementation of activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework
  • Monitoring, assessing and extending children’s learning 
  • Evaluating and recording children’s progress
  • Providing feedback on the children’s development 

You will ideally have: 

  • The ideal candidate will have:


    NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent in Childcare and Education (desirable)

    Excellent communication skills and organissational skills

    Ability to develop effective relationships with colleagues and parents 

    A can-do attitude, be polite and always be happy to help  

 

Information about the school

The Kindergarten opened in January 1998 and has been in its current location since 2000. The kindergarten is based in a large Victorian building in the West end of Folkestone.

It is set over three floors of large spacious rooms that children are free to explore and a large garden which gives the children the benefit of a familiar, fun and relaxing environment.

The kindergarten is open 8am -6pm Monday to Friday 51 weeks of the year, we have an exceptional reputation for providing high quality care and education to children aged between 3 months and 8 years old. All our team are highly trained early years practitioners with qualifications ranging form BA Early Years Degrees to our level 2 apprentice.

Our aim is to holistically educate and care for children, valuing all children and their parents, regardless of race, religion, culture, gender, age and disability. Children's needs are at the forefront in all that we do at the kindergarten and we celebrate the uniqueness of every child.
