We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Administrative Assistant/Receptionist to work as part of the office team 3 days per week (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays), for additional hours in our busy school office.

This post is for 22.5 hours per week, over 3 days, 8am-4pm and term time only. The salary is Kent Range 3, FTE £17,365; which pro-rata will mean an annual part-time salary of £8737.11 and paid monthly.

The applicant should have good communication skills with both children and adults and ideally previous experience in an administrative role. Good organisational skills and telephone manner are essential.

As part of the role, the candidate will be required to administer basic first aid and the appropriate training will be given.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide administrative support e.g. photocopying, filing, faxing, e-mailing, completion of routine forms, administration relating to school meals, data entry, etc. This could also be directly supporting the Head Teacher with admin tasks.
  • Update manual and computerised records/management information systems.
  • To assist with any other general office duties as requested.

Meopham Community Academy is a two form entry primary school set in a beautiful village location and the school prides itself on providing a happy, safe and caring environment for all its pupils.
