Due to a temporary increased demand and a thriving music department we are seeking to appoint an outstanding and inspirational violin specialist with a proven track record in delivering individual and group tuition to pupils between 5 – 13 years. We will require a teacher who is willing to take on approximately 2 - 3 days of teaching per week, including supporting or leading ensembles where required. This will be from January 2020 up until 7th July 2020, with the possibility of extending if demand continues. Our peripatetic team enjoy working together on a wide range of creative projects therefore we are keen to hear from candidates who relish the opportunity to work collaboratively, developing ensembles in rehearsals, concerts and other school events as required.

Working in the music department, the successful candidate will be able to offer skilled instrumental teaching in violin and beginner viola as a minimum and will be excited by the prospect of contributing fully to the extra-curricular life of the school, collaborating in chamber groups or larger string ensembles, including orchestra. The successful applicant must be able to motivate and inspire children of all ages and abilities to make good progress in their instrument and to foster in them a love of music across a range of styles. The ability to accompany your pupils in exams or concerts would be advantageous.

Our peripatetic teachers are self-employed. They invoice parents directly.
