FAMILY LIAISON OFFICER REQUIRED FOR DECEMBER 2019

Monday – Thursday, 8.00 a.m. – 4.00 p.m., 3.30 p.m. finish on Friday

37 hours per week, Term Time Only

As a Family Liaison Officer you will:

  • Be responsible for engaging parents and improving communication between home and school, in direct liaison with teaching staff
  • Assess, implement and monitor action plans to support individual pupil needs
  • Promote links with external agencies and undertake referrals as appropriate
  • Attend meetings as appropriate as the school’s representation
  • Be part of the School’s Safeguarding Team

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Previous experience of working with children and families
  • Knowledge and skills equivalent to national qualifications level 3
  • Ability to communicate effectively at different levels
  • Good organisation and accurate record keeping abilities
  • Have a knowledge of child safeguarding, confidentiality and behaviour strategies and the ability to communicate these effectively
