This is an exciting opportunity to join our vibrant and happy school community. We are looking for a full time Maintenance and Facilities Assistant to work throughout the year as part of the small team responsible for day-to-day caretaking and maintenance work, and ongoing project work. Our school is housed in beautiful historic buildings set in 100 acres.

You will be:

  • Physically fit
  • Well-organised
  • Willing to be flexible to the demands of the role
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Motivated and able to manage workload effectively
  • Computer literate, specifically with Microsoft Word and Excel.

 

You will have:

  • A range of practical DIY skills such as basic plumbing, decorating & carrying out minor repairs
  • Good problem-solving skills

 

Additional desirable skills:

  • Some knowledge of Safe Working practices
  • Some awareness of health, safety, security and hygiene issues

 

Training will be offered to the successful candidate.

The normal working hours are 7.30am to 4.30 pm Monday to Friday, and alternate Saturdays during term time. 

The salary is £ 21,000 per annum and benefits include pension scheme, life assurance, 25 days holiday, and school meals during term time.
