Higher Level Teaching Assistant wanted for our wonderful school!

Do you wear your pants over your trousers?  Do you own a cape?  Are you the next superhero that we are looking for?  If you are skilled, professional, fun and caring and driven to provide the best possible education for our children, then you could be the person that we are looking for to become a HLTA in our school.

We are seeking to appoint a HLTA to support with PPA and leadership cover, as well as enhancing the quality of our curriculum learning through a specialist area.  This is an exciting opportunity for an appointed HLTA to share their specialist knowledge with our children and staff, planning and delivering lessons following the National Curriculum.  The successful candidate must be willing to plan and deliver their specialist area across all year groups.

The post is 35 hours a week, 39 weeks a year, pro-rata (8:30am - 4pm daily).

PPA time will be given.

You must be able to demonstrate the following qualities, skills and experience:

• A love of children and the determination to provide the best possible school

• A team player and an ability to work under pressure

• Able to relate to the needs of parents

• Good understanding of education and children’s learning

• Proven impact of working with children

• HLTA qualification (Level 2 or 3 Diploma, or equivalent, plus additional knowledge in specialist area; working at or towards professional standards for HLTA)

• Be flexible, fun and energetic

Information sessions and tours of our school will be held on Thursday 31st October at 1:30pm and Friday 1st November at 4pm.  There is no need to book a place for these information sessions.
