The Viking Academy Trust is looking for a Part-Time Caretaker - 20 hours per week.

The Viking Academy Trust is looking to appoint a CARETAKER to join our Premises Team from December 2019. Your base school will be Ramsgate Arts Primary School but you will be part of the Viking Premises Team and your place of work may change in accordance to the changing needs of our educational trust.

It’s all about making sure we're safe and secure, with everything working correctly and efficiently as well as keeping the school looking smart. Duties will include general maintenance of the school premises; out of hours opening for lettings; ensuring the security of the school, regular health and safety checks and general janitorial duties.

The successful candidate will take pride in ensuring the school is clean, tidy and a safe environment for our children and staff. They will need to be competent at DIY tasks and be able to work both on their own initiative and under the guidance of others.

We regularly hire minibuses to transport our pupils to different events around the local area and although not essential, it would be very useful to have category D1 on your licence as well as some experience of driving minibuses.

The post is for 20 hours a week. Working hours will be 7 am to 11 am.

The contract is for 52 weeks a year and pay will be on Kent Range 3 (approximate salary: £9,386.51 per annum)
