A vacancy has arisen for the role of Finance Assistant within school. The role is a part time role, 20 hours per week, term time only plus two weeks. 

The Finance Assistant will be required to provide financial support to the School Business Manager and the school. Key duties will include processing of orders and invoices, maintaining accurate records and production of monthly reports. The role will include some administrative HR duties such as maintaining absence records. 

The Finance Assistant will also provide some administrative support to the school office at peak times.

Information about the school

St. Joseph’s is a happy and successful one form entry Catholic primary school with strong Home/School/Parish links in Northfleet near Gravesend, Kent. Since December 2014 we have been an academy within the Kent Catholic Schools Partnership (KCSP). In January 2020, we were judged as Outstanding in our Denominational Inspection and our three recent Ofsted judgements were also Outstanding. The school is located in well-maintained buildings conveniently situated in a residential area near good transport links and shopping facilities, specially the A2, Ebbsfleet International Railway Station and Bluewater Shopping Centre. Our School is committed to the safeguarding of all children.

Any successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and all other statutory requirements. The school will carry out the necessary checks to determine if the successful candidate is barred from working with children as part of the DBS process.

The school is significantly heavily oversubscribed and caters for pupils from five to eleven years of age. There are 210 children on roll.
The school has a dedicated team of staff; Executive Principal, Principal, Vice Principal, SENCo, music specialist and class teachers and Learning Partners for each of the 7 classes.
