Our pupils achieve well and make good progress – academically and socially – during their time with us. We make good use of our extensive grounds and the local community to further enrich our curriculum. Have a look at our website to get a feel of what we are about. Visits to the school are recommended.

  • A reflective, caring practitioner who maintains very high expectations.
  • A teacher that will "go the extra mile" for each and every child.
  • Has a creative approach to teaching and learning including the use of ICT
  • An excellent role model who will motivate and inspire children.
  • Excellent communication skills to ensure a consistent approach both within the classroom and across the school.

We can offer:

  • A welcoming school community with supportive parents.
  • Hardworking, motivated and well-behaved children.
  • A supportive and friendly teaching team.
  • A commitment to professional development.
  • An onsite woodland area for forest school and outdoor learning.

We welcome applications from any individuals who are high quality practitioners. In your application we would love to hear about the skills and knowledge that you would bring to our team and any curriculum strengths and leadership experience may have. You will be required to teach a short lesson as part of the recruitment process. Shortlisted candidates will be notified by email.

Information about the school

Sandhurst Primary School welcomes all children from 4 to 11 years of age. We also work in partnership with Sandhurst Nursery School, who cater for children from 12 months old and share our beautiful, rural site. Our excellent class sizes and family atmosphere enables us to build warm relationships with all children and families throughout their Sandhurst journey.

We pride ourselves on being a caring and happy place where children come first. We aim to develop all children’s skills and talents through a wide variety of experiences and approaches. We want our children to be independent and confident by making their learning enjoyable, satisfying and fun. Although we naturally focus on the academic, we are extremely lucky in our fantastic environment. Outside play and learning, sporting activities, including Forest School are an integral part of our working week too.

With kindness in our hearts, we find enjoyment in our learning and seek challenge in all that we do.
