We are looking for two aspiring Teaching Assistants, one for KS1 and one for KS2  to join our team. Tymberwood Academy, part of Reach2, offers a supportive environment and your career development will be encouraged.  

Please note that this is a fixed term position until 31st August 2020.

You will need to be enthusiastic and keen to participate in all areas of school life. You will be an integral part of school life supporting students and teaching groups of pupils.

We are looking for someone who

  • has experience in all primary school key stage areas
  • is flexible and values working in a team.
  • is passionate about teaching and has a really good understanding of how pupils learn
  • has previous Teaching Assistant experience
  • has NVQ level 2 or 3 in Child Care and Education/Supporting Teaching and Learning or an equivalent qualification.

We have recently had our Ofsted Inspection in which we were graded good throughout with outstanding Leadership & Management, so this is a very exciting time for us as we continue to move forward to outstanding.

We are a mainstream primary academy (REAch2) with a Physical Disability Specialist Resource Provision - this means have pupils who are physically disabled that are taught within mainstream classes. Not only are we able to enhance their learning, but they support the inclusive and empathetic atmosphere we have built at Tymberwood.

We joined the REAch2 Academy Trust in February 2014 and enjoy being a part of a supportive and collaborative trust.
