An opportunity has arisen for a Teaching Assistant to work with KS2 pupils in our school. This will be both class, group and 1:1 support.
This is a fixed term position up to July 2020, term time only for 27.5hrs per week.
Pay Scale KR3
We require a dedicated, flexible team player to join us at Lydd Primary School as a Teaching Assistant to provide support for pupils in Key Stage 2.
A TA qualification or equivalent and previous experience is preferable.
As a school we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children. Pre-employment and recruitment checks will be carried out.
This post is fixed term as it is dependent upon the pupils’ attendance at the school and high needs funding.
Lydd Primary School reopened as a part of The Village Academy in 2015, and since then, as OFSTED recently found, “has gone from strength to strength.”
We are an average sized primary school with a growing roll of hard working, polite and friendly children. The school has a team of friendly and skilful teachers who deliver a broad and interesting curriculum. We recently had our first inspection since becoming an Academy and were judged to be a good school with an outstanding early year’s provision. Our teachers work hard, but as OFSTED noted we are also aware of the importance of a good work-life balance and morale is high amongst staff.
The school is well resourced, with large buildings, outdoor space and excellent local facilities for exploring learning outside the classroom.
Although Lydd is Kent's most southerly village, it is well connected by road to many main towns. It is an easy commute from Ashford (where many of the staff live), Hastings, Dover, Folkestone and Hythe. Do come and meet our friendly staff and wonderful children, you are sure of a warm welcome.
